Nominee frontrunners include such big names as Drake, The Weeknd and Justin Bieber, and lesser-known yet formidable artists Dear Rouge and singer-songwriters Shawn Mendes, Alessia Cara and Shawn Hook. THE STORY OF GOD
Morgan Freeman is producer and host of this absorbing new docu-series, which finds the Oscar-winning actor travelling the world to explore cultures and religions, and the relationship between the individual and their deity. The première, Beyond Death, finds Freeman among Egyptian tombs, on the banks of the Ganges River in India and at the possible site of Jesus’s burial in Jerusalem. (Nat Geo)
51ST ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS
Luke Bryan will co-host with Dierks Bentley as the ceremony is televised from Las Vegas. Both are nominees and will perform, as will Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Sam Hunt, Kelsea Ballerini, Florida Georgia Line. Also performing: Eric Church and Chris Stapleton, who are tied for the most nominations (five each). (CBS, Global)

Star Trek legend George Takei voices his animated likeness in the new episode The Burns Cage, as Homer (Dan Castellaneta) tries to broker a romance for the dejected Smithers (Harry Shearer). Bart (Nancy Cartwright) engineers the recasting of the male lead in a school staging of Casablanca, but co-star Lisa (Yeardley Smith) isn’t happy with the replacement. (Fox)
WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?
The hit genealogical series returns for a new season with an episode spotlighting Aisha Tyler, whose hilarious comic timing is on display in FX’s adult animated sitcom Archer. The actress uncovers a dramatic story, however, as she searches for information on a great-great-grandfather and finds a prominent ancestor who made headlines trying to keep his illegitimate son a secret. As Fiona and Sean’s (Emmy Rossum, Dermot Mulroney) wedding day arrives, Debbie (Emma Kenney) shows up at the church with an unexpected guest, while Ian (Cameron Monaghan) finally brings boyfriend Caleb (guest star Jeff Pierre) to meet his family, in the season finale Familia Supra Gallegorious Omnia! Geordie and Sidney (Robson Green, James Norton) are cautioned not to proceed on their respective paths, in the new Episode 2 of Grantchester Season 2. When Geordie probes the death of a professor whose fatal fall might not have been accidental, a government agent wants him off the case.
