If your answer is yes, plan to join us for a two-session book study based on Robert Lupton’s book Toxic Charity: How Churches and Charities Hurt Those They Help (and how to reverse it). Drawing on the writings of author Trevor Herriot, the anonymous author of The Way of the Pilgrim, and my own writings and experience of pilgrimage on land and water, this will be an evening to explore the universal symbolism of pilgrimage as spiritual journey.
