Woman charged with second-degree murder
Edmonton police have charged a 28-year-old woman with seconddegree murder in the city’s 22nd homicide of the year.
Louie De Sousa Sa, 61, was found dead in a rental apartment suite at 82 Street and 123 Avenue just after 11 p.m. May 19.
An autopsy Tuesday confirmed De Sousa Sa died as a result of trauma to his upper body.
Police said the accused and victim knew each other and lived together at the same residence.
Malory Lajimodiere, 28, is charged with second-degree murder and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
