Disabled permits aren’t easy to get

The letter writer is quite incorrect when she maintains, ‘There’s a huge range of abilities and disabilities that are accommodated with disabled parking permits.”

The last time I completed the application (as a polio veteran) the form quite clearly said, “For those who have difficulty walking more than 50 metres. That is the only criterion for granting the placard. More attention to the giving out of placards would also ease the crowding. Jim Rasmussen, Camrose
