CANADIANS IN HUNT AT LPGA CLASSIC

-

Top-ranked Lydia Ko and Brooke Henderson of Smiths Falls, Ont., now second in the World Rolex rankings, sit three shots off the pace at 7 under par after matching rounds of 68 on Friday at the Meijer LPGA Classic in Belmont, Mich.

Defending champion Lexi Thompson of the U.S. leads at 10 under par. Alena Sharp of Hamilton is tied for second at 9 under par.

“I started out not as well as I would have liked, but I made a lot of birdies on the back and go 4 under, so overall it was a pretty steady day,” Henderson said.
