Both quarterbacks from last week’s game at Commonwealth Stadium were named Shaw CFL performers of the week Tuesday.

But it might have been more fitting to have them share a mention, considering they split halves posting big numbers in Hamilton’s 37-31 comeback win over the Edmonton Eskimos.

Mike Reilly completed 32 of 42 passes for 354 yards and three touchdowns in an effort that saw his Eskimos roll to a 25-point lead out of the gates, only to see Ticats take control in the second half.

Jeremiah Masoli completed 31 of 38 attempts for 391 yards and three touchdowns to mount the biggest comeback in Ticats history, including 23 completions in a row to break the previous record of 22 set by current Eskimos head coach Jason Maas.

“Anyone who knows me knows I could care less about stats. I care about winning more than anything,” Maas said.

“Good on him for doing it in a win, because I’m sure he’s the same way and would rather win than have a stat like that. ” IN AND OUT: DE Odell Willis had his leg examined by team trainers after taking a spill at the end of Tuesday’s practice, but no indication was given as to his playing status.

“We’ll have a better assessment of him tomorrow,” Maas said.

Newcomer Casey Chin was longsnapping once again in place of the injured Ryan King, while C Justin Sorensen sat out once more with a separated shoulder suffered in Saturday’s game. Neither are expected to play Thursday against Winnipeg (7 p.m., TSN, 630 CHED).

Look for LG Simeon Rottier to slide over to centre and Chris Greaves come in and play in his usual spot.
