Police seek tips after women harassed
Incidents involved shady job offers
Edmonton police said Wednesday detectives are hoping more witnesses will come forward after two people were arrested for allegedly harassing women with a questionable job offer.
Police began investigating in mid-March after several women reported being approached by either a man alone or a man and a woman together in shopping centres who were claiming to be recruiters for an estate management company.
According to police, the women would be shown a job description for a position as an estate manager before being invited for a formal interview.
Only a few of the women who came forward to police agreed to go to the location for the interview.
Investigators have arrested and charged Christopher Bonanni, 39, and Jessica Bedard, 25, both from Edmonton, with interfering with a person’s lawful use or enjoyment of property, a form of mischief.
Detectives are hoping other women who may have been approached by these individuals will come forward with information about their interactions.
