Noth­ing makes you feel more Cana­dian than the mu­sic of Gor­don Light­foot, which is one of the rea­sons why Al­berta Ballet has deemed him to be the next song­writer rep­re­sented in their se­ries of multi-me­dia en­hanced per­for­mances hon­our­ing mu­si­cal icons El­ton John (Love Lies Bleed­ing) and k.d. lang (Bal­letlu­jah.) The other rea­sons in­clude the com­pany is cel­e­brat­ing its 50th an­niver­sary, just as Canada it­self marks the 150th an­niver­sary of the found­ing of the coun­try. Songs for the per­for­mance in­clude If You Could Read My Mind, The Wreck of the Ed­mund Fitzger­ald, and Sun­down.
