GWAR

The musical equivalent of World of Warcraft returns with a new album, their 14th since assembling in 1984, and a new lead singer in Blothar the Berserker. While The Blood of Gods has done pretty well for a Gwar album, peaking at No. 13 on the Billboard Top Hard Rock Albums chart, it’s their shows that matter the most, as they spray down audience members with copious amounts of fake blood and mutilate celebrity and politician stand-ins in an orgy of cartoonish violence. All in jest, of course; opening for the veteran shock rockers are Ghoul, He is Legend, and U.S. Bastards.
