Did you set a goal to get healthy or eat better this year? Breakfast may be a good place to start.

With our busy lifestyles, breakfast is often skipped or relegated to simply coffee and a pastry — hardly enough to fuel a full day. Get ahead of the game with these three tasty, make-ahead ideas.

Our coconut almond granola with flaxseed makes a tasty topping for yogurt, porridge or even on its own with a splash of milk. If you’d prefer, swap in your favourite nuts, seeds and dried fruit. This recipe doubles easily, so you can share with family and friends. It’s not too late to jump on the overnight oats craze. In our chia and coconut overnight oats, the oats are soaked in a mixture of plain Greek yogurt and apple juice for sweetness.

The chia seeds help to thicken the mixture, as well as provide extra fibre. For toppings, we’ve chosen coconut, raisins, cinnamon and brown sugar, but feel free to add your favourites.

If you prefer a savoury breakfast, try our Denver breakfast muffins, a cornbread muffin filled with ham, cheddar and green onions.

They will last in the fridge for two days, or in the freezer for several weeks.
