RCMP detachments announce new commanding officer
The RCMP detachments in Stony Plain, Spruce Grove and Enoch have a new permanent boss.
Insp. Mike Lokken, who had been acting as detachment commander since February, has been tapped to take over from Insp. Rob Hill, who had been in the position since 2016.
Chief Supt. Shahin Mehdizadeh, district commander for central Alberta, made the announcement Friday. Having previously worked with First Nations and Inuit communities in Manitoba and Nunavut, Lokken has spent time in general duty as well with the Alberta Serious Incident Response Team and the Alberta Law Enforcement Teams’ Northern Alberta Internet Child Exploitation Unit.
