Roseanne story about racism, not politics

Martin Stribrny is totally and purposely missing the point. This is not a political story, although Roseanne Barr and President Trump are friends and she is a staunch supporter.

This is a story about racism pure and simple. Roseanne Barr posted on Twitter, “Muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby = vj,” referring to Valerie Jarrett, a former aide to president Barack Obama who is African-American.

Barr has a long list of racist tweets and bizarre conspiracy theories that plainly show who she really is, and it’s not a pretty picture. She’s done it when it comes to Jews, the LGBTQ community and numerous other minority groups.

We cannot allow racism to become normalized by people like Roseanne and the president because our lives and way of life begin to end the day we become silent about the things that matter.
