GAME SIMULATES HOUSE FLIPPING

- Melissa Hank

A new computer game called House Flipper puts an interactive twist on the idea of buying ramshackle houses, fixing them up and selling them for profit.

Repair mechanics has various tools and parts. Budget management helps you find the best risk/reward ratio. And interior design has “hundreds of unique items to choose from.”

Says one reviewer: “It’s like The Sims, Viscera Cleanup Detail and Championship Manager all rolled into one.”

But not all are impressed. Another reviewer writes: “It’s a simulation game so I was really hoping for immersive simulation, but as far as mounting or repairing things it is just point and click.”

House Flipper from developer Empyrean is available for PC and Mac, and costs about $23.
