Woman’s body found in river near St. Paul
The case of a woman missing since late September has been deemed suspicious after her body was recovered from the North Saskatchewan River southwest of St. Paul, say RCMP.
Twenty-five-year-old Lindsay Marie Jackson’s body was found in the North Saskatchewan River near Duvernay, about 53 kilometres southwest of St. Paul, on Wednesday, said police in a Friday release.
Jackson was last seen on Sept. 22 at her home on the Saddle Lake Cree Nation, about 180 kilometres northeast of Edmonton and 23 kilometres west of St. Paul.
The Edmonton medical examiner’s office performed an autopsy Thursday and confirmed Jackson’s identity. Her cause of death is not being released, RCMP said.
