One person dead, three injured in two-car crash near Cochrane

A woman is dead following a twovehicle collision north of Cochrane, Emergency Medical Services said Friday.

Spokesman Stuart Brideaux said paramedics declared an adult female driver deceased at the scene.

Three occupants of another vehicle have been transported to hospital. An adult female was taken by ground ambulance in serious condition, an 11-year-old was transported to the Alberta Children’s Hospital in serious condition, and a 14-year-old was flown by air ambulance to the children’s hospital, also in serious condition, Brideaux said.

The collision occurred around 1:15 p.m. Friday on Highway 22 near Township Road 274.
