FANS TO GET A LOOK AT WESTEROS

-

The makers of the wildly popular Game of Thrones series are opening their sets and studios on a “scale and scope bigger than anything the public has ever seen.”

HBO said its Legacy Experiences will allow fans for the first time to visit its sets in Northern Ireland, including King’s Landing, Winterfell and Castle Black, as well as touring the Linen Mill Studios at Banbridge, southwest of Belfast.

The initiative will provide “the first opportunity for the public to set foot inside some of the most iconic locations from the series,” HBO Licensing & Retail said.

Filming ended this summer, with the final six episodes set to air in 2019. The launch is tentatively set for next year.

Two dozen locations in Northern Ireland have been used over the decade of filming the show, which is set largely in the fictional continent of Westeros.
