COLOR OF THE YEAR AIMS TO CALM
It may be common sense, but in times of turmoil consumers want a sense of calm. Hence the 2019 Color of the Year, courtesy of HGTV Home By Sherwin-Williams. Reflecting Pool is a turquoise lauded for its ability to convey tranquillity and glamour.
“The 2019 distinguished Color of the Year, Reflecting Pool, is incredibly versatile and can be combined with any of the trending colour collections,” Ashley Banbury, senior colour designer at HGTV Home by Sherwin-Williams, told Apartment Therapy.
“It can be soft and calming when mixed with natural hues, but energizing and fun when combined with the vivid and bold shades.”
HGTV Home also unveiled three 2019 Color Collections: Sophisticated Whimsy (inspiring positivity and adventure); Mystic Light ( blending the physical and digital); and Everyday Balance (encouraging a retreat from life’s chaos).
