- RYAN GARNER

Grandin Parc Village, a mixeduse development in St. Albert, is aiming to change the perception of residential housing in the city, offering prospective homebuyers a more affordable option with beautiful natural surroundings.

Set on nearly 10 acres along Grenadier Park, Grandin Parc Village offers immediate possession condos starting from around $190,000. The master-planned community by Amacon features 91 carefully crafted units — ranging in size from 658 to 1,407 square feet — with a variety of floor plans available, from one-bedroom plus den to three-bedroom plus den.

“We’ve always known about the absolute beauty and true charm of St. Albert, and we wanted to develop a new, vibrant, and walkable community that was more affordable for the average homebuyer,” said Grace Austin, marketing and sales manager for Amacon. “The sense of community is starting to take shape, as more and more homeowners continue to move in.”

Nine-foot, smooth-finish ceilings and quartz countertops are standard in each unit, while large windows provide plenty of natural light. White shaker-style cabinets complement Whirlpool stainless steel appliances, blending with polished quartz kitchen countertops and a full-height backsplash, and in-suite heat pumps and air conditioning help ensure comfort.

“This whole development is about complementing the exquisite, small-town charm of St. Albert with a completely new living experience that promotes high density and connected living for first-time homebuyers, growing families, and downsizing residents from the community,” said Austin.

But Grandin Parc Village’s appeal extends beyond its suites. Keyless entry, gated underground parking and storage lockers increase security and convenience.

Amenities include a fully equipped fitness facility and social lounge with dining area, along with easy access to nearby walking paths and the Red Willow Trail system.

“The design of the village remains Grandin Parc Village’s most unique feature,” said Austin. “Set within walking distance to the historic Perron Street, Grandin Parc Village will only continue to be more accessible and walkable in the coming years as future phases are realized.

“Eventually we will see 160,000 square feet of retail, additional office space, and a walkable village concept with open, landscaped

and flexible public spaces. This is a truly unique offering, where you can choose a brand new, move-in ready home in a community with so much more to come.”
