Mounties are again pleading with the public to help try and locate a suspect wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for the murder of a man in Lac La Biche in 2017 who has also been linked to the case of a missing woman.

Lloyd Wesley Boudreau, now 23, is alleged to have shot Michael Matthew Mountain, 26, on Oct. 28 outside the front door of the home where Mountain lived with his wife and three young children.

On Friday RCMP said they had received “several tips” but to date they have failed to locate Boudreau. Mounties believe that several people may be assisting him in evading authorities.

Of concern for police is the fact that Boudreau’s former partner, Mandi Leigh Boucher of the Buffalo Lake Métis Settlement, was reported missing to the Boyle RCMP detachment on the same day Mountain’s body was found in Lac La Biche and the same day that his alleged killer disappeared.

In June, Boucher’s family urged Boudreau to give himself up.

“Lloyd, if you have my niece, please bring her home safe and sound because we love her,” Boucher’s great aunt, Delia Boucher said. “Turn yourself in because you’re putting us through hell. I want my niece back. Please, just bring her home. We are not asking for much, just for our loved one.”

Boudreau, who is believed to be armed, is Métis and described as approximately 188 pounds, fivefoot-six with black hair and brown eyes, with tattoos on his neck and the right side of his face.

Boucher is a 25-year-old Métis who is five-foot-one, 150 pounds with brown hair and green eyes.
