Trudeau doesn’t need Alberta to win office
Premier Rachel Notley and her team have been busy educating Canadians how pipeline loss equals Canadian income lost. Her next step will probably be transfer-payment charts showing how an Alberta decrease in dollars equals less revenue for other provinces.
Now, with the meeting of the premiers with the Prime Minister, there is a chance for change. But, with three Liberal seats in Parliament, Alberta may continue to have an uphill battle. After all, Team Trudeau doesn’t need Alberta to get re-elected. Instead, Team Trudeau’s focus is on the provinces that give the votes (think Ontario, for example).
