Trudeau doesn’t need Alberta to win office

Edmonton Journal - - LETTERS -

Premier Rachel Notley and her team have been busy educating Canadians how pipeline loss equals Canadian income lost. Her next step will probably be transfer-payment charts showing how an Alberta decrease in dollars equals less revenue for other provinces.

Now, with the meeting of the premiers with the Prime Minister, there is a chance for change. But, with three Liberal seats in Parliament, Alberta may continue to have an uphill battle. After all, Team Trudeau doesn’t need Alberta to get re-elected. Instead, Team Trudeau’s focus is on the provinces that give the votes (think Ontario, for example). Is this Team Trudeau’s latest energy-conservation plan? Regan Pinkoski, Sherwood Park
