- JURIS GRANEY

Police are asking for the public’s help in locating two men described as violent offenders.

Jared Soosay, who has a criminal history that includes sexual violence, was released to live in the Edmonton area in early November. He is again being sought by police for assault with a weapon, assault and breach of recognizance.

Soosay, 22, had been given strict court-ordered conditions when he was released including a daily curfew and bans on purchasing, possessing or consuming any alcoholic beverages.

Other court-ordered conditions include not entering into a dating, intimate or sexual relationship with any person, or having any friendships with females until their identities have been disclosed and they have been informed of his previous offences.

Soosay, who also goes by the alias Jared Omeasoo, is described as being five-foot-eight and 140 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Police said Friday that Soosay has been known to carry weapons and should not be approached.

On Aug. 23, police issued a similar appeal for public assistance in locating Soosay after he was wanted on three counts of breach of recognizance. He was located and arrested on Sept. 6.

Police also put out a request for help Friday to locate 28-year-old Paul Egotak, who is wanted for two counts of breaching recognizance.

Egotak is known to carry weapons, and, if spotted, should not be approached. Egotak has black hair, brown eyes and is described as being five-foot-three and 155 pounds.
