City’s latest homicide victim died from gunshot wounds: police
Edmonton’s latest homicide victim, found dead on a sidewalk in north Edmonton earlier this week, died from “multiple gunshot wounds,” autopsy results released Saturday show.
Enzo Campoli, 52, was discovered by officers outside a house in the Mayliewan neighbourhood near 77 Street and 166 Avenue around 8:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Police were called to the area after they received multiple calls about potential gunshots.
“Homicide detectives continue to investigate and urge anyone who has information about the shooting or what led up to the incident, to contact police,” police spokesperson Patrycja Mokrzan said in an email Saturday.
Detectives released Campoli’s name in an effort to generate tips in the case.
His death is the city’s third homicide of 2019.
