City’s lat­est homi­cide vic­tim died from gun­shot wounds: po­lice

Ed­mon­ton’s lat­est homi­cide vic­tim, found dead on a side­walk in north Ed­mon­ton ear­lier this week, died from “mul­ti­ple gun­shot wounds,” au­topsy re­sults re­leased Satur­day show.

Enzo Cam­poli, 52, was dis­cov­ered by of­fi­cers out­side a house in the Mayliewan neigh­bour­hood near 77 Street and 166 Av­enue around 8:15 p.m. Wed­nes­day.

Po­lice were called to the area af­ter they re­ceived mul­ti­ple calls about po­ten­tial gun­shots.

“Homi­cide de­tec­tives con­tinue to in­ves­ti­gate and urge any­one who has in­for­ma­tion about the shoot­ing or what led up to the in­ci­dent, to con­tact po­lice,” po­lice spokesper­son Pa­trycja Mokrzan said in an email Satur­day.

De­tec­tives re­leased Cam­poli’s name in an ef­fort to gen­er­ate tips in the case.

His death is the city’s third homi­cide of 2019.
