Trio on the run arrested in stolen car after asking police for gas

A woman and two men are in custody after they approached police in a stolen vehicle filled with drugs, asking for help because they had run out of gas.

The trio were arrested after a traffic stop Friday afternoon as they headed northbound on Highway 2 near Glen Park Road in Leduc — but they weren’t the ones pulled over.

According to an RCMP news release, the vehicle pulled in front of the police, and a woman sought help because she had run out of gas.
