Police seek man wanted in Jasper Avenue shooting
Police are searching for a man wanted on an attempted murder charge and have charged four others after a Jasper Avenue shooting last December that left one man in hospital with gunshot wounds.
Police are searching for Hanad Mohamed Farah, 28.
“On Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018, at approximately 1:35 a.m., police were called to an establishment in the area of Jasper Avenue and 100 Street on the report of a weapons complaint. Upon arrival, officers located a 31-year-old man who had been shot,” said city police spokeswoman Cheryl Sheppard in a news release Thursday.
Postmedia previously reported a shooting on the same night at Alibi night club.
Anyone with information about Farah’s whereabouts is asked to contact police.
Police have previously charged four men for assault and possession of drugs.
Daoud Ali Youssouf, 23, is charged with assault, mischief and three charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Jordan Cyris Cook Lombe, 23, is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and breach of recognizance.
Mahad Basshir Farah, 23, is charged with assault.
Osman Mohammed, 23, is charged with assault and three charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
