Sadly but peacefully, Rick passed away in Edmonton on August 28th 2019 Rick was born on October 4th 1952 in Edmonton, to Doug and Lorraine. He married his sweetheart Jenny and they were blessed with a wonderful child, John William. Rick is survived by his partner Janice, son John (Robin), granddaughter Audrey, brother Don (Maryann) and sister Rhonda (Dallas) and predeceased by his Mother and Father. Rick wasn't just a musician, Rick was much more than a musician, he was a brilliant star. We all thank you for all of the memories that you have left your family, fans and friends. Rick loved the song Hotel California. The song, like Rick, was deep, maybe a little dark and it seems that some times in the lyrics was where Rick lived... And still those voices are calling from far away, Wake you up in the middle of the night just to hear you say... We are all just prisoners here, of our own device. And I was thinking to myself this could be Heaven or this could be Hell. Rick had his own Heaven and Hell and was a prisoner in his own instrument, fighting his personal demons for years. Fighting or not, Rick always had a twinkle in his eye. The day before Rick left us, he was heavily sedated lying in his hospital bed. He looked up, smiled and said "this is the weirdest day ever". Words cannot describe the sorrow that we mortals will feel not being able to attend the rock and roll spectacle that will take place soon in heaven. Rick will be climbing his own stairway to heaven shortly and we can only imagine what kind of style and sparkle will be there. Rick, Heaven is your final gig, such a lovely place, such a lovely face. Your music is already loved and missed and you our friend, will be forever loved and missed. Your Family and biggest fans will always adore you.
