Sprinter Coleman eligible for world championships
American sprinter Christian Coleman had a whereabouts charge against him withdrawn by the U.S. Anti-doping Agency on Monday, making the favourite in the 100 metres eligible for this month’s world championships in Doha.
The USADA’S charge that Coleman three times failed to properly file whereabouts information in a 12-month period, a potential antidoping violation, was scheduled to go to arbitration on Wednesday.
The USADA said in a statement that it withdrew the charges after receiving guidance from the World Anti-doping Agency.
The 23-year-old Coleman, the year’s fastest man and 2017 world 100m silver medallist, could have been banned for up to two years and missed the world championships and 2020 Olympics if the arbitration panel had upheld the charges.
Coleman wasn’t immediately available to comment.

Palacios had been linked with global superpower Real Madrid since last summer, but it appears Inter Miami was able to secure the 20-year-old’s signature. Arsenal also showed interest in the youngster.
Palacios first appeared for River Plate during the 2014-15 season. In 59 appearances with the club, he had four goals and nine assists.
Last September, Palacios made his first appearance for the Argentina national team.
He has two international caps. Palacios would be the fourth player to sign with Inter Miami, a
2020 MLS expansion club.

The two-time all-star is a career .250 hitter with 218 homers and 626 RBIS. In his abbreviated 2018 season, Trumbo hit .261 with 17 home runs.
