The product: Ref Jeans Power Dressing Collection

Why we love it: Whether you’re looking for the perfect skinny jean, retro-inspired straight cut or even a pair of editorial-approved long cutoff shorts, there’s a sweet denim style available within this new collection from the sustainably minded fashion brand Reformation.

The collection, which launched last month, is the brand’s latest “eco-friendly denim capsule,” and features styles that are cut and sewn in Los Angeles (the company’s current home base). Knowing that denim is “pretty much the worst piece of fashion for the environment,” according to a news release, the Reformation team set out to create a covetable collection of denim staples that uses less water (one-third less water, to be exact) than other production processes. The collection of seven styles also features fabrics that are made from deadstock (end-of-the-roll fabric that’s unwanted by other manufacturers) or eco-friendly fabrics such as organic cotton, recycled elastine, Tencel Lyocell and Refibra Lyocell, according to the release. While we love the full lineup, we’ve got our eye on the Dylan

Jacket ($238) and the Trouser Jean ($230), both in the colour Wheat. Whether worn together as a casual take on a two-piece suit, or separate, they’re pieces that can be worn this season, next season, and for many more to come after that.

The price: $150 to $275
