ROBOT IS YOUR CAT’S BEST FRIEND
Like something out of The Jetsons, there’s a new robot playmate for your cat that allows you to keep tabs on your tabby via camera and microphone through a mobile app while you’re out of the house.
Ebo, developed by Hong Kong-based Enabot, is about the size and shape of a softball with digital eyes and a tail. It skitters across the floor on its own, avoiding obstacles and returning to a charging station when it runs low on power.
“Ebo’s eyes, movements and sounds mimic real-life play, keeping your cat engaged day after day,” the company says on its website.
Accessories such as feathers, string and a laser pointer add to the fun. The basic model sells for $317. The Ebo Pro version, due in June, plans to up the game through artificial intelligence to match its play with your cat’s personality and mood.
