Big Valley Jamboree postpones festival over COVID-19 uncertainties

-

The Big Valley Jamboree won't be returning until next year. The country music festival in Camrose announced Tuesday that uncertainty around border closures and COVID -19 restrictions have forced the postponement to 2022. “This is not the news that our fans want to hear or the news that we wanted to deliver,” Big Valley Jamboree CEO Troy Vollhoffer said in a news release. “But, as we have learned, and given these extenuating circumstances, the decision-making process is completely out of our hands.” All tickets that have already been purchased will be honoured for next year. The announcement follows renewed optimism from the province that large events could return if the rising number of COVID-19 cases is halted, more people are vaccinated and there is less burden on the health-care system.
