Ready to bang your head and shake your hips? One of the most energetic, wild and visually amazing bands in Edmonton is rocking out at the east side's coolest art space, the outdoor Lowlands Project Space —which also has its 11-artist outdoor show In the Weeds still up, and Lauren Crazybull's art is also up on the walls inside. So, yeah, lots of art and music, all at once — can you even handle this much in-your-face culture? As ever, I believe in you.

THE WITCHERY MARKET

Edmonton's dark alternative indie market returns to one of our appropriately ancient buildings, Acacia Hall, with 23 vendors, ready to hook you up with crafts, witchy merch and even tarot readers doing divination. Pagan art, babushka scarves, big statement jewelry, mysterious tomes and essential oils — it's all here for your perusal at the last Witchery Market till October, from tonguein-cheek cute cat tchotchkes to some seriously wicked dark arts fare to keep on the top shelf … not to mention plenty of scented goods to pamper yourself in the bath. Starts Friday, opens 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, as well — black hats totally optional, but please mask up.

PIG (2021)

Nicolas Cage is at it again with another head-turning role, this time playing a truffle hunter named Rob living alone in the Oregon wilderness whose mission is to rescue his beloved foraging pig in Portland and confront his past after she's been kidnapped. Directed by Michael Sarnoski, this beautiful odyssey of love and loss is getting universally great reviews, and might even make you question that next bacon burger. 92 mins.
