ANOTHER DEADLY ATTACK ON AFGHAN MOSQUE
An Islamic State suicide bomber attacked a Shi'ite mosque in Afghanistan's Kunduz province on Friday, killing scores in the country's third attack this week on a religious institution.
State-run Bakhtar news agency said 46 were killed and 143 wounded. The death toll could reach 70 to 80.
The blast follows others at a mosque in Kabul and a religious school in Khost.
The attacks underscore security challenges facing the Taliban, which has carried out operations against Islamic State cells in Kabul.
