EL HOMBRE ESQUELETO

It's somehow been 10 years since wildcat Edmonton artist Greg Swain moved on to the other world — one he frequently drew, printed and painted with his obsession with skeletons and Dia de los Meutros imagery. A vibrant, beautifully chaotic figure in ArtsHab, this show collects his work from numerous private collections, a reunion of sorts for the influence of a spirit that never quite left the local arts scene. You should definitely poke your head into this party to hear his still-standing compatriots echo his battle cries, “I'm alive!” and the eternally mysterious “Or what?!?” Also of note: Stephen Sereda and visual artist Will Truchon play a #420 show the next night at 8 p.m. in the same space.

This is always a fine chance to see up-and-coming talent. Come enjoy their visions and congrats to all.
