Lorraine Hazel Craig, beloved wife, mother, grandmothe­r, sister, and friend peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on April 14, 2024 at age 79 after bravely battling ALS. Lorraine leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will forever be cherished by her family and wide circle of friends. She is survived by her devoted son Cary (Amber), her grandchild­ren Xavier and Abigail, her brother Bill (Danielle), and their children Molly and Rowan French, her niece Jennifer (Bob) and Hannah Gansert. Lorraine was predecease­d by her beloved husband Gordon, her sister Kathleen McIntosh and parents Edwin and Myrtle French.

Born on January 27th,1945, in Edmonton, Alberta, Lorraine was the middle of three children, born to Edwin and Myrtle French. In 1970, she married Gordon, with whom she shared 53 wonderful years of marriage until his passing earlier this year. Together, they built a successful business, G & L Distributo­rs LTD., showcasing their dedication and entreprene­urial spirit.

Lorraine was a dedicated mother and a loving grandmothe­r, who created lasting memories with Xavier and Abigail. She was a cherished friend to many who will remember her with fondness. Lorraine's talents extended beyond the business world; she was an incredible baker and quilter, leaving behind countless cherished creations that will be treasured by her loved ones.

Lorraine's passing leaves a void in the hearts of many, but her family finds solace knowing she is free from pain and now reunited with her forever love, Gordon. In honor of Lorraine's memory, the family kindly requests donations to the ALS society, supporting research and care for those affected by ALS.

A celebratio­n of Life will be held Sunday April 28th at 2pm to 6pm at The Derrick Golf and Winter Club. In this gathering, friends and family will come together to honor and celebrate the beautiful lives of Gordon and Lorraine Craig.
