Duo sought for Edmonton killings make list of those most wanted

-

Rewards of $50,000 each are up for grabs for tips leading to the arrest of two men on the country's 25 most wanted list for homicides in Edmonton, say police.

City police have partnered once again with the national fugitive crime capture organization, the Bolo Program, to locate Canada's most wanted suspects from various jurisdictions.

In Edmonton, 23-year-old Joseph Chlala is ranked seventh on the national list, with 29-year-old Saed Osman, who was fourth on the list last year, now ranked as the eighth most wanted in the country.

Both men are wanted for homicide.

A Canada-wide warrant for second-degree murder was issued for Chlala months after police were called around 6:30 a.m. June 12, 2023, to reports of an injured male in an alley near Allard Boulevard SW and Arthurs Crescent SW. Officers found a 21-year-old man, Osama Ali, dead.

An autopsy quickly determined he died of gunshot wounds and the manner of death was deemed homicide.

In the case of Osman, police were called around 2:45 a.m. March 12, 2022, after shots were fired at Ertale Lounge, near 124 Street and 118 Avenue. Upon arrival, police located multiple victims outside the establishment.

Emergency medical services paramedics responded, treated, and transported two women and four men to hospital with various injuries. A fifth injured man went to hospital on his own. One of the male victims, Imbert George, 28, died from his injuries.

Investigators have since determined that the suspects allegedly fired approximately 70 rounds in a crowded area, and all seven victims were innocent bystanders who were randomly struck by bullets.

Two men have been charged in relation to the case.

Osman is wanted for first-degree murder, six counts of discharging a firearm with intent to endanger life and multiple other firearms offences. He is also known by the alias Guled Osman, and/or the nickname Styles.

Osman is from Ontario but has strong ties to Edmonton, where he may still live.

Police warn that both men may be armed and dangerous and should not be approached.

In co-operation with the Crime Stoppers Association of Edmonton and Northern Alberta, the Bolo Program offers rewards for any information leading to the arrest of either suspect.

The reward is only available until Dec. 3, 2024.

Anyone with information about these cases can contact Edmonton police directly at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone. Anonymous information can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at p3tips.com/250.
