PAW Patrol heroes ready to raise the woof at Edmonton Expo Centre

The big dogs are back as PAW Patrol Live! returns this weekend with four shows Saturday and Sunday, in a whole new story called Heroes Unite.

“If you're not familiar with the TV show, no big deal,” says Boston-born performer Berit Palma, who's been with the company for a year and a half, noting, “You can still enjoy the production as much as if you're a PAW Patrol super fan.”

The effects-laden live stage show, which includes giant dog puppets, humans in costume and a lot of interactive singing, is the third VStar Entertainment Group and Nickelodeon touring collaboration under the preschool-popular PAW Patrol banner, entertaining 4.5 million people live since 2026.

“The story follows Ryder and the pups as they're facing one of their biggest challenges: Mayor Humdinger clones Robo Dog,” explains Palma.

The gang has to catch all the clones, save the day and figure out what it means to be a hero, with lots of help from the audience at Edmonton Expo Centre (7515 118 Ave.).

“I think that that's one of the best parts about the show,” says Palma, “is that it really gets kids involved in what it means to be a team, how to work together and how, through working together, you can really accomplish anything you set your mind to.”

For the record, kids watch everything from the audience.

“No kids will actually come up on stage with us,” Palma says with a laugh, “because those dogs are actually pretty big — I think they'd be very frightened if they got very close. But there's a lot of opportunities to sing and dance along with your favourite pups.

“And they're also given a pup tag at the very start of the show, so throughout the production, they'll have opportunities to be members of the Paw Patrol themselves.”

The shows run 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday — Mother's Day!

“There's a number at the very end,” Palma adds, “where we encourage all the heroes to get up and show us their dance moves. And they just go crazy, running down the aisles.

“There's opportunities for the parents to dance as well — so it's a really great way to connect with you and your young one.”

Standard admission tickets start at $41.50, which includes fees and taxes — grab yours at pawpatrollive.com/canada-tickets. Photo VIP packages also available.
