Mark Wahlberg’s new action movie Mile 22 features a lot of ass-kicking, and a lot of it comes courtesy of WWE star Ronda Rousey.

Wahlberg plays the leader of a secretive branch of the CIA who is tasked with transporting a foreign asset (Iko uwais) with top secret intel to an extraction point. He’s aided in his job by alice (The Walking Dead’s Lauren Conrad) and Sam (Rousey).

But the 47-year-old actor thinks that fans of Rousey’s career, which went from the 2008 Olympics to the UFC will be surprised at her dramatic transformation.

“With Ronda, I think people expect her to be Ronda and just beat the crap out of everyone. But her dramatic performance is one of the great surprises of the movie,” Wahlberg says.
