LACK OF COMPETITION

Edmonton Sun - - COMMENT -

The Canadian economy is doing well. The Trudeau government is going to fix it. Alberta’s oilsands, which generate wealth for Canada, are being undermined. A federal carbon tax is underway. The inability to deliver oil to market cost Canada $80 million a day. Quebec cost Canadian taxpayers $12 billion a year with no accountability of how the money is spent. The diminishing of Canada’s competitiveness will eventually diminish government revenues. Canada is being led to the economic abyss by elected politicians from Quebec, whose $12-billion revenue stream depends on Canada’s competitiveness.

robert SOLIGNAC (And what happens when Alberta’s economy is strangled to the point it can no longer afford the transfer payments that help pay for Quebec’s social services?)
