The Who plot new al­bum and tour

The Who is re­group­ing to record its first new al­bum in 13 years.

Band­leaders Pete Town­shend and roger dal­trey have been fo­cused on solo ca­reers in re­cent years, but the duo is re­unit­ing to record its first new ma­te­rial since 2006’s End­less Wire.

Town­shend tells Rolling Stone he has recorded 15 demos for the al­bum, with a 2019 re­lease planned.

The tour dates, which will fea­ture an orches­tra, have not been an­nounced but con­certs are set to be­gin at new york’s Madi­son Square Gar­den in april.
