Dave Grohl con­firms new Foos LP on the way

Foo Fight­ers front­man dave Grohl has an­nounced the band is get­ting to work on their next stu­dio al­bum.

Grohl told the crowd at brazil’s rock in rio fes­ti­val that the rock­ers will start record­ing the fol­low-up to 2017’s Con­crete & Gold when they re­turn to the U.S..

“i don’t know when we’ll be back down here again, but we will,” he shared. “We go home next week and we start mak­ing a new Foo Fight­ers record. it’s good, it’s good.”

the former Nir­vana star’s com­ments come af­ter drum­mer taylor Hawkins told rock­sound. tv in au­gust: “(dave) has a lot of demos that he’s worked on and i think we’ll start, once this tour is over…

“i think not too soon af­ter that we’ll start the process of putting the songs to­gether as a band. i think we’ll have a new record by next year.”

Grohl also spoke about new music last sum­mer, telling NME: “there’s al­ways some­thing. i’m con­stantly writ­ing but not al­ways se­ri­ously... When i feel like (the songs are) ready, that’s when i bring them to the band.”
