Debrincat signs an extension
the chicago blackhawks signed forward Alex Debrincat to a three-year, $19.2 million contract extension, the team announced thursday.
the deal carries an average annual value of $6.4 million and runs through the 202223 season for debrincat, who was scheduled to become a restricted free agent in July. the 21-year-old is in the final season of his entry-level pact with an aav of $894,166.
debrincat recorded careerhigh totals in goals (41), assists (35) and points (76) while playing in all 82 games last season with the blackhawks. His goal total was the sixthhighest in the NHL in 2018-19.
debrincat has collected 128 points (69 goals, 59 assists) in 164 career contests since being selected by chicago in the second round of the 2016 NHL draft.

the calgary Flames announced thursday that general manager Brad Treliving has signed a multiyear extension, believed to be a three-year pact. His current deal was set to expire after this season.
“Over the past five years, brad has done an excellent job putting a team together on and off the ice,” Flames club president John Bean said in the announcement. “continuity is important in this role. brad has earned the trust and respect of our ownership group and our fans.”
