House fire under investigation
Arson is suspected after firefighters were called to a house on fire in the Britannia Youngstown neighbourhood Saturday.
Crews were called to the home at 163 Street and 101 Avenue just before 5 p.m. Saturday. Police were also called to the scene at the request of the homeowner, according to Edmonton Fire Rescue Services spokeswoman Sarah Jackson.
The fire began in the backyard in a shed, spreading to the back of the house and damaging two cars that were sitting next to the shed. Police are looking for a person of interest, said Staff Sgt. Barry Maron.
Paramedics assessed residents of the home, but no one was taken to the hospital.
