Gin­ger Baker dead at 80

Famed british drum­mer Gin­ger baker has died at age 80.

baker, who found fame with eric clap­ton and Jack bruce in the band cream, passed away in hos­pi­tal on Sun­day morn­ing, with a state­ment on his twit­ter page con­firm­ing the news.

the rock band only sur­vived for three years due to baker’s volatile re­la­tion­ship with bruce, but they re­main one of the most in­flu­en­tial bands of all time, with hits in­clud­ing I Feel Free, Strange Brew and Sun­shine Of Your Love.

He is sur­vived by his three chil­dren, Ginette, Leda and Kofi.
