Influencer Q&A CAROLINE NÉRON
After years of entertaining audiences as an actress and singer in her native Quebec, award-winning artist Caroline Néron is debuting her handbag collection. Néron knows what women want. Her jewellery collection combines elegance with boho influences, and on the eve of the brand’s 10th anniversary, Néron is launching her handbag line. The exquisitely crafted range features everything from the perfect clutch to the ultimate 9-to-5 tote and is as head-turning as her bold bijoux. After all, she says, “Accessories are a must to stand out and make your look unique. You don’t want to buy something that no one will notice!”
What made you decide to launch a handbag collection?
I love jewellery, but I always knew I would eventually do bags. When I started designing the line, it was important for it to match my jewellery collections. You’ll see a lot of the same colours, cool leather, like snakeskin-style textures, and some pieces even have removable chains that can be worn as necklaces. But beyond the style, I also focused on the quality of the leather. I’m really inspired by Jimmy Choo, Dior, Gucci and Prada, and I feel like I’ve created bags of a similar quality, but at more affordable prices.
What are the must-haves from your fall collection?
I’m always wearing the “Célèbre” bracelets, which are thin chains with crystal closures. You can mix and match them with anything. My other must-have is the long “Hollywood“necklace in an on-trend grey-green tone. It elongates the torso and makes women look thin and tall; it’s really flattering. Finally, I never leave home without my “Signature bag”!
What’s next for you?
We’re planning to open stores in the rest of Canada, the United States, and Europe. I’m also continuing to grow my current collections as well as develop other new lines such as eyewear, dog accessories, and home products. Inspiration is our driving force. The more we take on, the more we get inspired!
