You have to be a little bold to sign up for a live cover shoot—after all, #nomakeup selfies aren’t for the faint of heart. But Hilary Duff jumped at the chance to connect with readers over social media while on set for our December cover (although we suspect it’s partly because she looks seriously flawless sans foundation). We Instagrammed, we tweeted—and you responded in the millions! #ElleCanadaHilary went viral, getting nearly 30 million impressions in just a few hours.
