AWARD SEASON STARTED EARLY

The 2014 ELLE Canada Fashion Award was presented to Ryerson University grad Cassandra Tino for her trippy installation The Beat of Change, which was inspired by the 1960s Peacock Revolution, when menswear became flamboyant and politically charged. Tino created a vibrant interactive musical jewellery box with distorted mirrors tucked into each drawer designed “to help illustrate the relationships between fashion, music and identity.” Play on!
