EDITOR’S POV
I’d like to suggest that we get rid of a phrase I used to abuse but now abhor: “girl crush.” The sentiment behind a good old-fashioned “OMG, I’m, like, totally obsessed with her” feeling is real and awesome, but the word “crush” implies that we’re carrying an actual romantic flame for a woman (Can you imagine? Oh, right, lots of people do.), and referring to women as girls is very “Don Draper’s typing pool.” We’re better than that. KATHRYN HUDSON
