THIS MONTH’S BEST

Oh, how “Knot on My Watch” [ELLE Beauty, May 2015] resonated with me! My hair has always been hopelessly fine and impossible to style (even with industrial-strength products and appliances!). Old photographs of me are hysterical; my hair was either overly curled from a bad perm or much worse. I had what I called the “army helmet” cut, which looked like someone had put a big soup bowl over my head and then cut around it! Just thinking of those simpler days brings back fond memories, though. With the thousands of products available to us now, we can resolve pretty much any hair emergency with a little pump of something. As always, love the magazine and loved this trip down memory lane.
