FRAME OF REFERENCE

While Frida Kahlo may be one of the most referenced art stars of the early 20th century, very few know her beyond the iconic self-portraits and flower crowns. Enter Frida Kahlo: Through the Lens of Nickolas Muray at the Textile Museum of Canada in Toronto (June 10 to September 7), which looks to provide audiences with a new and intimate view of Kahlo’s life through candid images taken by Muray, her close friend and confidant. h
