SPICE UP YOUR LIFE

Victoria’s Secret Angel Behati Prinsloo on the scents that inspire her.

HER HOME...

“Our house always smelled like food. We eat a lot of meat in Africa [Behati is from Namibia], and it was always so delicious. If I could literally bottle my mom’s home cooking, I would! And when it first rains back home, the ground smells incredible. It’s such a distinct scent in my mind.”

HER FRAGRANCE...

“I’ll put on I Am Juicy Couture in the morning when I leave the house, and I won’t reapply it because I love the different notes and how that later note finally comes through toward the end of the day. But if I go out for dinner, I’ll spray on some more.”

HER MR. CLEAN…

“I hate when guys use too much cologne. It’s a pet peeve— I could scream. I feel like a man should smell clean, and if they do wear anything, an oil or musk [is best]. Keep it chill.”

HER BEAUTY BUYS...

“It’s so funny: After 10 years of watching people do my makeup, I still can’t do my own. I’m fairly low maintenance. I use Burt’s Bees cherry lip balm and coconut oil–I love the way it smells too.” n

I Am Juicy Couture Eau de Parfum Spray ($89 for 50 mL, at drugstores and massmarket retailers) evokes the “glamorous rebel” in women, says Prinsloo, the face of the fragrance. A heady gourmand, it’s a blend of candied amber accord, vanilla,

raspberry, ginger and pink pomelo.
