editor’s POV Dior’s resort 2016 collection was staged in a space-age paradise–the ideal setting for what critics described as Raf Simons’ most forward-thinking designs. It’s perhaps no coincidence, now that Simons has left Dior, that his second-to-last show for the house exhibited such independence of spirit. Simons’ departure is proof that even a dream job can have its limitations and that in order to progress, it’s necessary to be fearless in the pursuit of something new.
